As a missionary priest who himself fled Vietnam as a refugee at the age of 17, Father Hung empathizes deeply with those bearing refugee status in this foreign land. Initially, Father Hung procured free food supplies from local supermarkets, which he distributed to the refugee communities. Although the quantity of food remained insufficient compared to the needs of the population, his efforts laid the foundation for more organized initiatives in the future.
