Inala parish youth join other young people to put God First

Inala-G1-Youth-Event---testimony---350Young people from St Mark’s Parish, Inala, in collaboration with the youth groups from Darra–Jindalee parish and Acacia Ridge parish, came together recently to celebrate the G1 youth event – God First.

Around 100 young people gathered in the Mercy Hall at lunch time on Sunday, November 29, for praise, worship and adoration and to hear two different testimonies about life changing moments in life after encountering God.

The testimonies were given by Michael Tanuvasa, a seminarian from the Holy Spirit Seminary at Banyo and Kristian Rimene from Blind Eye Ministries.

“In his talk the archbishop explained practical and biblical aspects of the mercy of God, as well as expectations for the Jubilee Year of Mercy,” says Fr Stephen. “The young people then had a chance to ask questions of the archbishop and have a discussion with him.”

Afterwards, the whole gathering moved to the parish church to join the parish for Mass.

“The liturgy and music was organised by the youth members,” says Fr Stephen. “The event finished with a generous dinner provided by parishioners and entertainment by a youth group.”
